Why is my VisaŽ Classic or Gold card not working?

On June 18, 2007 DVCU converted to a new, more efficient card processor. We mailed a replacement VisaŽ Platinum card on June 8th to all members that had an open VisaŽ Classic or VisaŽ Gold card. Why is my VisaŽ Platinum card not working?

You may need to activate the card. To activate the card call 800.216.4223 and have your Personal Identification Number (PIN) assigned to the VisaŽ Platinum card available. If you need further assistance please contact a credit union representative at 602.375.7300 or 800.579.5051.



Does the VisaŽ Platinum card replace my VisaŽ credit or VisaŽ debit card?

The VisaŽ Platinum card is a credit card and replaces your VisaŽ Classic or Gold credit card.



Why was the VisaŽ Platinum Personal Identification Number (PIN) mailed without Deer Valley Credit Union's information appearing on the envelope?

As a protective measure PIN mailers do not indicate the name of the financial institution. If the PIN is stolen from the mail, the thief can't identify what it is for. The PIN mailer does contain the last four digits of the VisaŽ Platinum card number so you can match them up once the card arrives.



What do I do if I never received my Personal Identification Number (PIN) for my VisaŽ Platinum card?

My current Visa Classic or Gold credit card was not expired. Why am I receiving a new card?

We converted to a new, more efficient processor. The conversion required us to reissue our entire card portfolio. The change provides our cardholders improved fraud protection, more flexibility in the event a card is lost or stolen, and transactions and payments are authorized in real-time.

What is the Personal Identification Number (PIN) for my VisaŽ Platinum card used for?

The PIN is needed to activate your VisaŽ Platinum card. It is also used to access your VisaŽ credit line at an Automated Teller Machine (ATM). Cash taken from an ATM is posted as a Cash Advance on your monthly credit card statement. Cash advances are always subject to finance charge from the transaction date.



Why did I receive multiple Visa Platinum cards?

If you have VisaŽ accounts opened under multiple member account numbers you would have received a card for each account. We did have a few instances where multiple cards were issued in error. If you think this may be the case please contact a credit union representative at 602.375.7300 or 800.579.5051.



Why does my VisaŽ Platinum card have my name printed differently than on my VisaŽ Classic or Gold card?

If your name is not printed correctly please contact a credit union representative at 602.375.7300 or 800.579.5051 and we will reissue a card with the proper format or spelling. You can continue to use the card you received until your new one arrives. Your new card will arrive within 7 - 10 business days.



Will I receive more than one VisaŽ statement since I have two card numbers?

You will receive a VisaŽ statement for each "L42 or L43" loan type you have. If you have a joint account with two separate card numbers under one loan type you will only receive one statement.



Will each cardholder's transaction history be listed separately on my VisaŽ statement?

The transaction history will continue to be listed together in date order. Our eService team has the ability to research which cardholder performed the transaction. If you need this information please contact a credit union representative at 602.375.7300 or 800.579.5051.



How can I view my credit card charges online?

Will my VisaŽ account be viewed differently in Remote Banking?

There are no changes to the viewing of your VisaŽ account in Remote Banking.



Is my interest rate the same on the VisaŽ Platinum card?

Your interest rate did not change however; lower rates are available (subject to approval).

How can I apply for a lower interest rate and/or a higher credit limit on my VisaŽ Platinum card?

There are several ways to apply:

  • If you have enrolled in Remote Banking you can apply online by selecting Apply for Consumer Loan under the Loans icon.
