When I attempt to log on to Remote Banking, I receive the following error message: "There has been a problem during transit.   Please try again. If you still get the same error, Please sign on again." Or, "Your browser may not be supported."
This error generally indicates that you have restricted the acceptance of
cookies on your machine.   The DVCU uses what are known as session cookies. This means our cookies only track the state of the current session and do not gather any personal information. Why can't I log on to Remote Banking with my Social Security Number?
If you have multiple account numbers, you must use a specific account number rather than your Social Security number to log into remote banking.

Why can't I access your web site? When I tried to access the site, a message came up that said I couldn't access at this time. When I contacted the credit union at a later date I was told the problem had been fixed but I'm still getting the same message.
Your system may be trying to access our web site via your cache (temporary internet files) which are now outdated. First, try the refresh function of your browser. If that does not work, clear the cache files in your browser (see next question for details). If clearing the cache does not work, see if you are able to access any other secured sites other than ours (they start out https://).
In the event Remote Banking is down, you may be able to access your account via UltraAccess (the phone) using the same password at 602.548.8985 or 1.800.824.2377 and then follow the prompts.

How do I delete my cache files and what are they anyway?
To remove the cached files, clear the Temporary Internet Files folder. To do so, use the appropriate method:
Internet Explorer 4.0, 4.01, 5, 5.5
1. In Internet Explorer, click Internet Options on the View (or Tools) menu.
2. On the General tab, click Delete Files.
3. Then click OK.

When I access my account via remote banking, since I am joint on my spouse's account, I can also view account information. My question is why isn't the IRA (Individual Retirement Account) also included for me to view on my spouses account?
In order to view the IRA on your spouses account, you have to sign in under that account using that account number and password. Signing on your own account will not work because legally you are not joint on the Individual Retirement Account, although you may be beneficiary.

Can I download my account history from within Remote Banking?
You can download your account history into MS Money and Quicken. If you have MS Money (97 or newer), click the Accounts icon. Click the View More icon next to the account type you would like to download. Click the download button, choose Microsoft Money as the Document Type. Choose all new transactions or input a specific date range. Click the Download button. When prompted, choose to save file to disk and accept the default name. After saving the file, you will be prompted to import the file into Money. If you have Quicken, follow the same steps as Microsoft Money, except choose Quicken for the Document type. When prompted, choose to save file to disk and accept the default name. Open Quicken and import the downloaded file (filename.qif)

I've followed the above steps, yet my transactions will not import into Quicken properly. What is wrong?
The QIF file format specified that dates were formatted as a two-digit year. Quicken is unable to properly import transactions with a date in the year 2000 with only two digits. Intuit has recommended that a four-digit year be used instead of a two-digit year for QIF file formats. DVCU is making Intuit's recommended change to the Ultra-Access software. This change will format all dates in the QIF file download as a four-digit year. The change will be made as of December 31, 1999. This change will be compatible with Quicken 99 and Quicken 2000. It will not be compatible with Quicken 98 without a patch from Intuit. Click here for information directly from Intuit.

Why do my transactions display in the browser rather than allowing me to save them to a .qif file?
Sometimes installing new software in Windows can overwrite the file associations for other software. When this happens, you can follow these steps to open files types in any program you choose. Here's how:
1. In Windows Explorer, navigate to a file of the type you want to associate (GIF, JPEG, etc.). If needed, create a temporary file with the proper extension: From the Desktop, Right click and choose New, Text Document. Choose any name you like, but change .txt to .qif. When prompted to Rename, click Yes.
2. While holding the shift key down, right click on the newly created .qif icon.
3. In the pop-up menu, choose Open With. A box will open asking you to choose a program to open that file type.
4. Pick Quicken from the list.
5. Since you always want Quicken to open .qif files, put a checkmark in the box that says: Always use this program to open files of this type.
Instructions for Windows XP
1. Click on Start - "My Computer" - Tools - Folder Options - File Types
2. If QIF File Type already exists, and has not downloading correctly, then scroll down and select it, and then select "Delete".
3. Select "New"
4. Type ".qif" as the new file extension and click on OK
5. Select the newly create QIF extension and click on advanced
6. Click on "Change Icon" and Browse to: "C:\Program Files\Quicken\qw.exe". Click open and select one of the icons.
7. Create a new action by clicking the "New" button
8. The action is "open" and the application used to perform the action is "C:\Program Files\Quicken\qw.exe -x %1".
9. If the following error message is displayed :
"The specified program could not be found. Make sure the file name and path are correct."
then browse to, and select the Quicken location at C:\Program Files\Quicken\qw.exe. Then type "-x %1" (without the quotes) after the application location. Select "OK".
10. Select the textbox close to the Quicken Icon and type: Quicken Download
11. Select the newly created action and hit the enter key.

How do you calculate the average daily balance?
You simply add the balance for each day during the billing cycle and then divide by the number of days in the billing cycle. For example, you have a $0 balance for the first 15 days of the billing cycle and then make a $3,000 purchase on the 16th day of a 30-day billing cycle. Your average daily balance would be $1500. ([$0 x 15 days] + [$3,000 x 15 days] = $45,000 / 30 days = $1,500).
